International Symposium on Child Welfare 2017

The Center for Child and Youth Policy and the School of Social Welfare are excited to host an international discussion of child welfare across the globe. Our own experiences in California are instructive to other countries, and theirs to us. To understand and learn from our differences, UC Berkeley is hosting international scholars from Sweden (Sven Hessle), Norway (Marit Skivenes), Finland (Tarja Poso), and the United Kingdom (Jonathan Dickens) to discuss the changing landscape of child welfare policy and practice in several European countries.

This symposium will take place on Friday, February 24th, 2017 from 9:00am to 2:00pm
in Haviland Hall on the UC Berkeley campus.

A lunch buffet will be provided.
