The Center for Child and Youth Policy was formed in 2000 to establish a community of scholars focused on the unique needs and issues of children, youth, and families in the 21st century. Led by Co-Directors Jill Duerr Berrick and Neil Gilbert, CCYP facilitates interdisciplinary discussion, drawing upon faculty from nine departments and Schools on the UCB Campus as well as regularly attending members from other universities in the area. Throughout the academic year, CCYP hosts leaders in the field for presentations to stimulate creative thinking and the exchange of ideas on public policy concerns facing today’s families.
